Important changes to the County Connect Service

As from 1st September 2014, we`ll be making some important changes to the CountyConnect service.

  • There will be a change of operator from Centrebus to Kier Fleet Passenger services. Kier are experienced operators of `dial a bus` type services and operate many of the CallConnect demand responsive bus services in Lincolnshire.
  • The CountyConnect service will continue in the Banbury, Brackley, Towcester, Daventry and Market Harborough areas.
  • The CountyConnect service in the Oundle & Thrapston area will be replaced by the Nene & Welland CallConnect service which already runs in the Stamford & Peterborough area and operates in a similar way to CountyConnect. All customers in this area will be automatically transferred to the new service and we`ll be writing to you in August with more information.
  • Unfortunately, due to very low patronage, communities south of Thrapston will no longer have access to a demand responsive service. However, a partial replacement will be provided. Northamptonshire Highways will provide more information in due course.
  • CountyConnect will no longer be able to provide a direct service between Towcester and Daventry.  This facility will end on Friday 29th August 2014.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this change.

If you use our Banbury, Brackley & Towcester, Daventry and Market Harborough services, you can continue to book as normal from the 1st September via this website or on 0345 4564474.

If you require further information then please contact Northamptonshire Highways at Highways@northamptonshire.gov.uk or 0300 126 1000
